CS150 is part of our stackable degrees, from the certificate/AA in Software Development to our transfer associate degree (AS-T) Computer Science. Although our main articulation/transfer pathway is our Java sequence (CS111/CS112) we recommend students take CS150 for transfer to CSU San Marcos and other C++ based CS programs.
Using an object-oriented approach to design and programming in the C++ language, this course covers data input/output, data types, control structures, operators, functions, and the operating environment. Upon successful completion of the course, students are able to construct moderately complex programs in C++. C-ID COMP-122.
Here is the official public record of what our course covers, learning objectives and outcomes, and some example methods. Faculty have academic freedom on how this course is taught, but are required to meet these requirements.
